Sarah Mielke joined Woods Aitken in 2021 after clerking with the firm for two years and is a member of the firm’s litigation group, working with clients in the commercial, construction, and labor and employment practice areas.
In her multifaceted practice, Sarah advises and represents business owners, contractors, and subcontractors throughout the lifecycle of construction projects, including consultation and contract drafting and negotiations, construction project management, compliance, and diplomatic dispute resolution, and when necessary, assisting clients through informal dispute resolution, mediation, arbitration, and formal litigation.

As a part of her labor and employment practice, Sarah works with clients to achieve and maintain employment and job site compliance within the construction industry. Sarah also advises and represents non-construction employers, assisting them in navigating local, state, and national employment requirements and disputes.
Sarah's interest in her clients' success and her commitment to transparent communication allow Sarah to serve her clients as a trusted partner in navigating the complexities of commercial litigation, construction law, and labor and employment matters. Her strategic approach is complemented by her collaborative efforts with experts in the field.
Sarah's philosophy on client service is rooted in the belief that there is a wealth of strength to be gained by tapping into clients' expertise and leveraging the exceptional legal team at Woods Aitken.
Sarah’s law practice has been greatly enriched by her commitment to pro bono advocacy and she serves as a member of Woods Aitken’s Pro Bono Committee.
Sarah received her J.D., cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law. During law school, she was executive editor of the Creighton Law Review and a member of the trial and arbitration teams.
